If possible, try to have your cooling unit configured in the factory with the options and upgrades that your cabinet or cellar requires.
However, if you find that you need to add an option or change a configuration after you've received your cooling unit, we have designed retrofit options that can be added. Some are simple enough that you can make the modification yourself. Others should be installed in the field by a qualified technician.
For instance, if you need to add a condensate drain line after taking delivery of your cooling unit, we offer a retrofit kit that includes the drain line, fitting, and a tap. You can thread the drain opening, which will allow you to screw the fitting into place.
Instructions for this fairly easy retrofit are included with the equipment; you may be able to handle the process without professional assistance, if you choose.
If you need to add a remote display kit after taking delivery of your cooling unit, we offer a retrofit kit that includes not only the remote digital panel, but also the electronic module that must be installed behind the face of the cooling unit.
Although instructions for this complicated retrofit are included with the equipment, you may prefer to have electrician perform the installation.
It is important to note that, once the cooling unit has shipped, you should order only a retrofit option, not the original option. Unfortunately, you cannot modify a cooling unit with an original or non-retrofit option after it has left our factory.
Many retrofit options are designed for specific cooling units and include additional parts and specific instructions that will be necessary for modifying your cooling unit.
You can find retrofit instructions for each option under the Resources tab on each item page or browse a complete list of retrofit options.
