CellarPro AH8500UC Unit Cooler (1/2 Ton Nominal) features an oversized coated evaporator coil and a powerful EC blower that can be ducted up to 100 equivalent feet (50 equivalent feet per duct) using 10-inch insulated ducting.

Unit coolers should only be used in properly-constructed wine cellars that are adequately insulated, airtight and sealed with a vapor barrier. In improperly-constructed cellars, the unit cooler will create excess condensation, leading to damage and premature failure (not covered by warranty).

CellarPro AH8500UC Unit Cooler (P/N 37459). CellarPro engineered the AH8500UC Unit Cooler to provide maximum airflow and coil surface area. When paired with an appropriately-sized condensing unit, our AH8500UC Unit Cooler can be used in properly-constructed cellars up to 1750 cubic feet.

Configurations

• CellarPro AH8500UC Unit Coolers are designed to be ducted, with the evaporator near and ducted (or inside) the cellar.
• The Unit Cooler can be ducted up to 100 Equivalent Feet (50 Feet per Duct) with 10-inch ducting, with multiple ducting alternatives:
  1. Collars or grills for EXHAUST (ie Supply) are located at the front top or rear of the Unit Cooler, and are interchangeable to meet your specific requirement.
  2. A Collar or grill for INTAKE (ie Return) is located on the left side of the Unit Cooler, and includes a professional-grade air filter to protect the unit.
• We offer the following Controller upgrades:
  1. Standard Dixell controller: mounted to the Unit Cooler, with or without a bottle probe.
  2. Remote Dixell controller: Remote LED display, wired to a Dixell power module inside the Unit Cooler, with or without a bottle probe. The LED display can be mounted inside or outside the cellar.
  3. 24V thermostat upgrade, wired to the Unit Cooler. The thermostat must be mounted inside the cellar, unless using using a wireless remote probe.
• The Unit Cooler should never be exposed to temperatures below 32F.
• Access to the left and right sides of the Unit Cooler is required for installation.
• The Unit Cooler must always be used in the upright position, and should never be operated on its side or upside down.

Maintenance

• Filters & Grills
  Use our filter & grill guide to find filters and grills that that are appropriate for your unit cooler
• Evap Fresh #17984: Should be sprayed on the evaporator (cold-side) coils once a quarter, especially when the evaporator coils frequently have condensation, to extend the life of the evaporator coils and to reduce the growth of mold in the drain pan.

Remote Thermostats, Displays & Probes

• Dixell controller / Standard LED display, mounted to the Unit Cooler, with (#37428) or without (#37427) a bottle probe.
• Dixell controller / Remote LED display, wired to the Unit Cooler, with (#37429) or without (#37428) a bottle probe. The LED display can be mounted inside or outside the cellar.
• 24V Thermostat Configuration #37440: allows the Unit Cooler to be connected to a 24VAC thermostat (not included). Includes 10 feet of wiring.
• Ecobee networkable thermostat #31453, Shipped loose, Can be used together with the 24V Thermostat Configuration. The thermostat can be mounted inside or outside (using its wireless remote probe) the cellar.
• Bottle probe extension cords are available in 25-foot (#1780) and 50-foot (#1781) lengths.

Heating & Humidification

• Integrated Heater 900W #37455: adds 900 watts of heat through the cooling system when the cellar is in an unheated environment and will be exposed to temperatures below desired wine storage temperatures.
• Integrated Humidifier #37454: provides humidification with digital control inside the cellar when attached to an external water line.

Cold Temperature
